JOB DESCRIPTION
Our client is seeking a professional with oversight and
management of the Mill Production, Maintenance, Reliability, and
Inspection teams and processes, coordinating with leaders to
determine engineering solutions for quality and throughput
optimization without a given solution process. This position
reports directly to the General Manager and would be responsible
for successfully leading 3 – 4 teams. Great opportunity for
future growth professionally and financially.
* At least 6 – 10 years of experience in a management position at
a steel, aluminum, or paper mill (Team Manager or higher)
* B.S. in Engineering or related field, or equivalent working
experience
* At least 10 years of experience in a management position of a
Steel Mill (Team Manager or higher)
* In–depth knowledge and experience with Hot Strip Mill process
* Basic understanding of heat, mass transfer, and material
plasticity
* Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to
effectively work cross-functionally with various groups
* Ability to develop and deliver technical presentations at
senior management level
* Proficiency in MS Office products

* Strong working knowledge of the Steel Hot Rolling Process
* Strong working knowledge of SAP applications

* Develop and maintain the manpower plan (org-chart) for the
production area
* Develop and maintain goals for the production department
* Representation of Client at events and in organizations

* Control all KPIs for production
