Job Description:
Our premier law firm client is seeking a Personal Injury
Associate to join a prestigious medical malpractice group. This
client offers attractive compensation, high level work and a
top-notch bonus plan. You will experience working on very large
cases and not have to work in a large law firm environment.
Responsibilities:
· Handle a diverse caseload involving personal injury,
medical malpractice, police misconduct, product liability and
insurance bad faith litigation.
· Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to develop
case strategies.
· Draft, review and file legal documents, including
pleadings, motions and briefs.
· Represent clients in court, including trials, hearings,
depositions and mediations.
· Negotiated settlements on behalf of clients.
· Collaborate with the legal team including paralegals and
support staff to ensure efficient case management and the best
outcome for clients.
· Keep up to date with knowledge of relevant laws,
regulations and legal precendents.
· Provide clients with clear and timely communication
regarding their case.
· Participate in firm marketing and business development
activities.
Qualifications:
· JD from accredited law school.
· Admitted in Ohio in good standing or in the process of
receiving Ohio admittance.
· At least five years of experience in Personal Injury
work. New graduates may be considered.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
