Job Title: Commercial Litigation Legal Assistant

Location: Dallas

Work Environment: 2 days remote per month

Degree Required: HIGHLY PREFERRED

Candidates must have litigation experience

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Provide secretarial and administrative support to attorneys.
* Prepare and edit legal documents and correspondence, saving to
the document management system; proofread to ensure accuracy and
completeness.
* Proofreading and cite checking briefs.
* Filings in state and federal courts.
* Maintain document management databases.
* Prepare conflict of interest checks and open new client files.
* Prepare engagement letters and conflict waivers.
* Coordinate with Audit Committee to prepare audit responses for
clients.
* Process expense reports/reimbursement requests.
* Assist assigned attorneys with CLE compliance and business
development activities.
* Review, organize, and process client billing in a timely
manner.
* Research and respond to requests for information from attorneys
and clients.
* Enter attorney time; review and revise timesheets accurately.
* Manage and monitor calendaring of deadlines and key dates.
* Calendaring and interaction with clients and other contacts
regarding meetings and scheduling.
* Coordinate business travel arrangements.
* Develop and organize electronic and physical files; maintain
systems to promote organization and efficiency.
* Docketing case deadlines.

Job Requirements:

* 3+ years of experience as a legal assistant in a law firm is
required.
* Prior litigation experience is required; the ideal candidate
will have experience in federal court litigation.
* Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
Outlook).
