Employment Law Associate

Our client is seeking an experienced employment law attorney with
wage and hour, class action and PAGA experience, to join their
legal team. We are seeking attorneys with 2-4 years of experience
and admitted to the California bar. Please send resume in WORD

The ideal candidate will have a JD, currently admitted and in
good standing to the CA bar with 2-4 years of employment law
including Wage and Hour issues, class actions, PAGA, and have
excellent writing skills.

As an employment law attorney, you will play a crucial role in
representing clients in wage and hour disputes, ensuring fair
compensation and adherence to labor laws. You will be responsible
for conducting legal research, drafting pleadings and motions,
participating in discovery efforts, and assisting with trial
preparation. The ideal candidate has a strong academic
background, excellent analytical and writing skills, and a
passion for litigation and labor laws.

Responsibilities:

* Provide legal representation in employment law disputes,
including but not limited to cases involving unpaid wages,
minimum wage violations, overtime pay, misclassification of
employees, and other related issues.
* Manage a caseload of employment cases from inception through
resolution, including conducting legal research, drafting legal
documents such as complaints, motions, and briefs, and
representing clients in negotiations, mediations, and court
proceedings.
* Provide comprehensive legal advice and counsel to clients
regarding their rights under federal, state, and local laws, as
well as potential legal strategies and options for resolution.
* Conduct audits and assessments of employers’ wage and hour
practices to ensure compliance with applicable laws and
regulations and provide guidance and recommendations for
corrective action as needed.
* Stay abreast of developments in wage and hour laws and
regulations, and advocate for policy changes and reforms that
promote fair and equitable treatment of employees in the
workplace.
* Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals within
the firm to leverage expertise and resources in achieving
favorable outcomes for clients.

Qualifications:

* Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
* Current admission to the California Bar.
* 2 or more years of experience in employment law in a law firm
setting.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills, with
exceptional attention to detail.
* Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and work well under
pressure to meet deadlines.
* Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
* Experience with drafting and reviewing legal documents,
including pleadings, motions, and discovery materials.
* Familiarity with the rules of civil procedure and other
relevant procedural rules.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and
collaboratively as part of a team.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
