Our client is seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented,
quality-focused, and diligent data analyst to join our healthcare
team. As a Data Analyst, you will work to improve the delivery
and cost of healthcare by collecting, organizing, analyzing, and
managing data to assist organizations with meeting their
strategic goals.
Healthcare Data Analyst Job Duties and Responsibilities:
* Coordinates with the team and key stakeholders to determine
data needs
* Participates in the quality and performance improvement
initiatives of multiple projects
* Adheres to timelines and deadlines associated with projects
* Understands healthcare quality measures
* Able to develop, distribute and analyze survey tools and
questionnaires for key project stakeholder groups
* Identifies strategies and methods to obtain healthcare/clinical
data relevant to the needs of the project
* Organizes and manipulates databases using SQL
* Uses statistical analysis software (R, SPSS, SAS, STATA) to
export and transform data and data sets
* Identifies and uses external benchmarks of healthcare metrics
to develop performance improvement goals and plans
* Uses visual displays (Dashboards & KPI’s) to communicate data,
trends, and progress
* Performs data analysis and data interpretation
* Provides requested data and data analysis for project progress
reports, proposals
* Uses data to develop strategies and measurable outcomes
* Provides frequent (formal and informal) progress reports and
presentations to the team and key stakeholders
* Develops a process to routinely monitor and audit data and
promote opportunities to analyze data more efficiently and
improve data integrity.
* Work independently and as part of a team to handle multiple
projects simultaneously with little supervision.
* Stays informed about current healthcare data analytic trends
Healthcare Data Analyst Requirements and Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare related field, data
analytics, health informatics, mathematics, economics, or
computer science
* 5-7 years of experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
* Knowledgeable about healthcare quality measures
* In-depth knowledge about/experience in healthcare, social
determinants of health, clinical medicine, population health, or
similar field
* Experience with quality and performance improvement
methodologies
* Experience in dashboard development, visual data displays,
KPI’s
* Experience with statistical software (R, SPSS, SAS, STATA) a
plus
* Expert with relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL, Etc.)
* Expert in the Microsoft Office Suite, and data visualization
tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker
* Strong written and oral communication skills, database skills,
and computer skills
