Our client is currently recruiting for a qualified professional
to fill the role of Enterprise Applications Services Manager.
This key position involves overseeing regional technical teams
responsible for supporting and maintaining our enterprise
applications, end user computing platforms, infrastructure, and
databases. The role encompasses personnel management, project
leadership, and operational support. Key systems include iManage,
Exchange Online, Microsoft 365, and inTune.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and prioritize regional application portfolio and
database systems roadmap; work closely with stakeholders, direct
reports, and the Enterprise Services Director.
* Assist with the development of the overall strategic
methodology and best practice guidelines for administering and
maintaining the regional application portfolio and database
systems.
* Provide leadership for all end user computing platform
initiatives.
* Ensure proper Incident Management Handling and Adherence for
SLAs of your team.
* Manage teams and leads in a distributed and centralized
computing architecture.
* Provide technical leadership with ability to effectively
translate business and user requirements to technical solutions.
* Manage the identification and quality assurance processes
relating to key database systems and applications– including, but
not limited to, status reports, risk management memorandums,
change control, and issue management.
* Support and manage overall project methodology and best
practice guidelines relating to application and database
initiatives in concert with Firm and departmental standards.
* Manage the professional and technical development of the team
to set appropriate goals and to monitor, mentor and coach each
individual.
* Ensure all technical database systems, application portfolio
and infrastructure adhere to the Firm’s security policies and
procedures.
* Prepare proper processes and guidelines relating to the
selection, implementation and management of automated operations,
testing and other operational support tools to gain work
efficiencies
* Assist in defining and implementing a continual set of IS
benchmarks to be used to measure the operational performance of
all software and database systems.
* Manage vendor relationships and coordinate product assessments
and selection including, system design specifications, analysis
of project scope, costs, and RFP preparation.
* Manage software maintenance contracts and license agreements.
* Comply with the Firm’s policies and any other legal
obligations; effectively manage risks to the Firm where those
risks relate to this role.
* Other duties as assigned to fully meet the requirements of the
position.
Experience & Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
* 5+ years successfully managing desktop, and supporting
enterprise software application environments and databases.
* 5+ years managing technical teams with at least 5 direct and
indirect reports in a 1000+ user LAN/WAN environment
* 5+ years proven management experience. Large law firm or
professional services experience preferred.
* Experience maintaining IManage and Supporting Client-Side
Services.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making
skills to effectively manage and present complex information to
all levels.
* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to communicate at all levels effectively to promote
collaboration and partnership to solve issues and make
recommendations.
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and
work in an environment with shifting priorities and
time-sensitive deadlines, while managing multiple projects
simultaneously.
