Legal Personnel Manager

Our client, an AM Law 100 firm, is looking to hire a Legal
Personnel Manager at their offices in New York City. This is a
full time, direct hire paying an annual base salary of $140K to
$150K plus a performance-based bonus and excellent benefits
package. This position will allow for a hybrid work week with 3
days a week onsite.

Job Description:

The Legal Personnel Manager will support the administration of
the Litigation Department, including assistance with junior
associate staffing and professional development.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Provide support to the Litigation Department assigning partners
in connection with junior staffing and utilization, including
ongoing monitoring and analysis of workloads, tracking of
associate skills and experience, and consideration of associate
preferences and career goals in order to make recommendations on
staffing requests and maximize overall productivity.
* Manage Vi assigning database
* Develop relationships with and serve as a resource for the
junior litigation associates in connection with assignment and
career planning, interpersonal issues, morale, training issues,
and firm life.
* Assist in the annual evaluation process and solicit and compile
interim feedback.
* Plan and coordinate special Litigation Department events.
* Conduct exit interviews with departing junior litigation
associates.
* Liaise with other administrative departments, including
Recruiting, Professional Development & Training, Career
Development, Diversity & Inclusion, Business Development and
Finance in furtherance of the above.
* Other projects, as needed.



JOB SPECIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

* Undergraduate degree required.
* At least 5 years of professional services experience.
* Minimum 3 years of law firm experience; experience in practice
group or talent management in large law firm preferred.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and ability
to work effectively with attorneys and staff throughout the Firm.
* Highly organized and self-directed approach to work with
meticulous attention to detail.
* Ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and thrive in
a fast-paced environment with intense client service orientation.
* Creativity in developing solutions and achieving results.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality of personnel and other
sensitive matters.
