General Summary: The Cisco Network Engineer, Infrastructure,
works as a senior member of a collaborative team responsible for
the definition and configuration of enterprise wired and wireless
network systems and standards, engineering methodologies, and
best practices. The Engineer will support the diverse network
ecosystem with primary focus in routing and switching to support
offices and DataCenters connectivity. Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela)
expertise is a plus.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Responsible for the engineering, designing, installation,
configuration, system maintenance, upgrades, troubleshoot and
support.
* The Cisco Network Engineer is responsible for providing support
for other Firm systems as required; including managing work,
resolving escalated issues, interfacing with various groups
within IT, documenting known technical issues and resolutions,
monitoring the integrity of various networks and systems,
assisting other engineers and developers with troubleshoot or
develop “bug” fixes and system enhancements, and participating in
Firm technology projects as requested.
* The Network Communications Engineer is expected to work in an
environment of constantly evolving and rapidly changing hardware
and software technology.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
* Bachelor’s degree or advanced training and certifications on
Cisco Systems including CCIE or CCNP.
* Minimum of five (5) years of direct experience supporting large
Wireless networks, including WAN, LAN, Datacenter, and VoIP
networks.
* Minimum of ten (10) years of work experience in providing
excellent technical support for international based enterprise
network with the ability to adapt to industry trends and evolve
the global network.
* Comprehensive knowledge of the varying nature of software,
hardware, and infrastructure projects and capable of working
effectively on small, medium, and large projects, spanning both
internal development and product selection/acquisition; solid
experience in all aspects of the systems development lifecycle
and able to lead projects through the entire life cycle.
