JOB DESCRIPTION:
The ideal candidate will lead, support, and develop a technical
team dedicated to Cold Roll Mill Process Technology activities to
effectively support the company’s business objectives. The
Manager will lead major improvement projects – utilizing
systematic methodology – to improve product capabilities, output,
cost, yield, energy, and environment performance and logistical
ease.
Bonus Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or
Operations Management field
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a progressive leadership role
* Background in all major steel mill processes and products, with
particular in–depth knowledge of Rolling process and technology,
with solid understanding from quality point of view
* Basic understanding of heat, mass transfer, and material
plasticity
* Demonstrated knowledge of steel rolling properties
* Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to
effectively work cross-functionally with various groups
* Proficiency in MS Office products
* Working knowledge of SAP applications
* Experience leading and/or managing teams within manufacturing
industry preferred
* Demonstrated understanding of control systems, instrumentation,
process models (Process Management fundament), etc.
* Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and implement
improvement initiatives that increase business value
* Strong decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving skills
* Demonstrated ability to effectively make decisions using
analytical and problem-solving skills
* Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally, build
partnerships, and seek “win-win” solutions to meet business
objectives

Typical day-to-day duties:
* Provides technical support for all Cold Roll Mill units,
including timely and appropriate management
* Responsible for regular reporting of Cold Roll Mill process
performance to senior management
* Fulfill the commitment to ensure a safe and healthy work
environment
* Fulfill the responsibilities required to achieve the Quality
Commitment and Environmental Commitment
* Ensure working knowledge of competencies as defined in ISO
14001 (current version), IATF 16949 (current version), and ISO
17025 (current version)
