Job Description:

Great law firm in New Orleans is looking to hire an Insurance
Defense Paralegal. Supporting 2-3 attorneys. 100% onsite.

Job Responsibilities

* Support firm operations with a high level of accuracy and
professionalism.
* Manage discovery, including drafting responses to
interrogatories, requests for production, subpoenas, and other
pleadings.
* Conduct investigations and fact development.
* Procure and organize medical, employment, and other
biographical records in compliance with state and federal
regulations, including HIPAA.
* Prepare detailed chronologies, summaries, and reports for
attorney use and client reporting.
* Schedule and coordinate independent medical examinations and
expert document review, including organization and identification
of relevant submission materials.
* Assist with deposition, mediation, and trial preparation,
including exhibit organization, witness coordination, and other
support.

Requirements

* Paralegal certificate, associate degree, bachelor’s degree, or
comparable education and training in a related field.
* 3–5 years of experience as a billable timekeeper in insurance
defense litigation, civil litigation, or a comparable legal
environment.
* Strong organizational, analytical, and oral/written
communication skills.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while
managing competing deadlines.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and
other industry-standard legal software.
