Job Description:

Our client, a highly regarded North Carolina law firm, are
seeking Business Litigation Associates who are willing to work on
a wide array of litigation matters, including complex business
and tort litigation. The ideal candidate will have at least 2-4
years of litigation experience. All candidates should have strong
academic credentials and be a self-starter with excellent writing
skills and attention to detail. The law firm represents
corporate, institutional, and commercial clients, they are known
for complex commercial litigation, real estate litigation,
products liability defense, and appellate work.

Responsibilities:

* Defend clients in complex business litigation and toxic tort
matters pending in state and federal courts
* Draft pleadings, dispositive motions, discovery responses, and
legal memoranda, and present legal positions in hearings and
court proceedings as needed.
* Manage and conduct fact and expert discovery, including taking
and defending depositions
* Participate in hearings, mediations, and other court
proceedings
* Work closely with partners on case strategy, risk assessment,
and defense positioning
* Communicate professionally with clients, insurers, opposing
counsel, and retained experts
* Assist with trial preparation, including expert coordination
and pretrial filings

Qualifications:

* Active member in good standing of the North Carolina Bar
* 2–4 years of litigation experience, with meaningful exposure to
defense-side litigation
* Demonstrated experience in toxic tort, mass tort, product
liability, or complex tort litigation strongly preferred
* Strong academic credentials
* Excellent legal writing, analytical skills, and attention to
detail
* Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple matters and
deadlines independently
* Professional demeanor with strong oral and written
communication skills
