This role is available in any of our offices, which currently

Responsibilities

* Prepare and analyze conflicts reports involving lateral
candidates, non-lawyer hires, new clients and matters, marketing
requests, and special projects.
* Research corporate structures, affiliates, ownership, key
principals, and business activities to identify potential ethical
conflicts and business risks.
* Partner with Conflicts Counsel, Recruiting, sponsoring
attorneys, and firm leadership to resolve conflicts and obtain
appropriate waivers, screens, or other resolutions.
* Maintain accurate lateral candidate records and provide timely
status updates throughout the clearance and onboarding process.
* Identify, evaluate, and escalate complex or sensitive conflicts
and matter-opening issues to appropriate senior personnel.
* Review matter-opening requests for business conflicts, practice
areas, billing and client-credit considerations, pro bono
matters, and firm policy requirements.
* Assist with opening priority portable client matters for
lateral partners following their arrival.
* Support Legal Recruiting by summarizing conflicts and business
concerns and coordinating required clearance and screening
procedures.
* Maintain knowledge of professional-responsibility rules,
conflicts practices, industry developments, and emerging risk
considerations.
* Recommend improvements to conflicts, intake, clearance, and
risk-management policies and procedures.
* Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
* Two or more years of law-firm conflicts experience required,
preferably in a mid-size or large firm.
* Experience with conflicts or database-management software;
Intapp Open strongly preferred.
* Strong analytical, research, problem-solving, organizational,
and time-management skills.
* Exceptional accuracy, attention to detail, discretion, and
ability to handle confidential information.
* Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and client-service
skills.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel; strong internet and
business research skills preferred.
* Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities,
meet deadlines, and perform effectively under pressure.
* Dependable, responsive, and adaptable, with willingness to work
additional hours as needed.
