Job Description:

The Legal Administrative Assistant will provide crucial support
to our attorneys and legal staff, ensuring smooth and efficient
operations within our firm. The ideal candidate will have
experience in asbestos and/or product liability defense, with a
strong background in administrative tasks, legal documentation,
and client coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

* Light Dictation and Transcription: Accurately transcribe
dictated materials and ensure all documents are correctly
formatted and prepared for filing.
* Calendar Management: Manage and coordinate calendars for
attorneys, scheduling appointments, court dates, and meetings.
* Drafting and Editing: Assist in drafting and editing pleadings,
correspondence, and other legal documents, ensuring accuracy and
compliance with legal standards.
* Time Entry Draft/Review: Prepare and review time entries for
accuracy, ensuring timely submission for billing purposes.
* E-Filing and Court Access: Manage state and federal e-filing
processes, including searching, printing, and filing through
court websites and portals.
* Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support,
including managing office supplies, organizing files, and
handling correspondence.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

* Experience: Prior experience as a legal administrative
assistant, particularly in asbestos and/or product liability
defense, is highly desirable.
* Technical Proficiency:
* State and federal e-filing systems
* Court website/portals access, searching, printing, and filing
* Adobe Acrobat Pro
* Microsoft Office Suite, with exceptional skills in Outlook,
PowerPoint, and Excel
* Initiative: Demonstrate proactive problem-solving skills and
the ability to anticipate needs, offering solutions before issues
arise.
* Multi-tasking: Effectively manage multiple tasks and deadlines
in a fast-paced legal environment.
* Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in document
preparation, transcription, and time entry.
* Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication
skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients,
attorneys, and staff.
* Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational abilities, with
a knack for maintaining order and efficiency in a busy office
setting.
