JOB DESCRIPTION
The Legal Billing Specialist will be responsible for the full
life cycle of the invoice preparation process while ensuring that
all invoices are accurate, compliant with client requirements,
and submitted in a timely manner. This role demands strong
analytical abilities, exceptional attention to detail, and
excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with
attorneys, clients, and administrative staff.
Key Responsibilities
* Edits Prebills via Prebill Viewer and Aderant based on the
request from the Billing Attorneys.
* Generates a high volume of complex client invoices via Aderant.
* Ensures that all invoices are compliant with the billing
guidelines and that all required supporting documentation is
compiled prior to submission.
* Submits ebills via EHub, including all supporting
documentation.
* Monitors and immediately address any invoice rejections,
reductions, and those needing appeals.
* Responds to billing inquiries.
* Undertakes special projects and ad hoc reports as needed and/or
requested.
* Flexibility to attend onsite trainings, work overtime and
conduct business travel as needed
Qualifications
Education & Prior Experience
* Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Accounting or
Finance.
* Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Legal Biller required.
* Aderant or Elite/3E preferred, Prebill Viewer, E-billing Hub,
Bill Blast.
* Proficiency in Excel required.
* Demonstrates a basic understanding of artificial intelligence
(AI), including core capabilities, limitations, and importance of
data privacy, accuracy, verification, and ethical considerations
within a professional services environment
* Familiarity with or willingness to learn AI platforms (e.g.,
Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar tools) and incorporate
them responsibly into day-to-day workflows to enhance daily work
tasks as appropriate and/or directed
* Proactive approach to learning and adapting to emerging AI and
related technologies and contributes to a culture of innovation
