Job Description:

Position Summary

Our law firm client in Chicago, IL 60601, is seeking a Litigation
Legal Administrative Assistant to provide high-level support to
partner-level attorneys in a fast-paced law firm environment. The
ideal candidate will have at least four years of litigation
experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to
manage multiple matters with competing deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, edit, proofread, and format legal documents, including
pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and correspondence

• Electronically file documents in Illinois state courts,
appellate courts, and federal courts, ensuring compliance with
applicable rules and deadlines

• Maintain litigation calendars and docket court deadlines,
including scheduling orders and briefing schedules

• Assist with discovery, document production, and preparation of
pleading and discovery shells

• Coordinate depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and
attorney and client meetings

• Assist with trial preparation, including trial and exhibit
binders

• Maintain and organize electronic case and client files

• Review and finalize attorney time entries

• Provide administrative support, including calendar management,
scheduling, and routine correspondence

• Communicate professionally with attorneys, clients, court
personnel, and vendors

• Manage multiple assignments and meet court-driven deadlines

Qualifications

• Minimum of four years of experience as a litigation legal
administrative assistant in a law firm environment

• Working knowledge of Illinois state and federal court filing
rules and procedures

• Experience with electronic filing systems across multiple
jurisdictions

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal document management
systems

• Excellent grammar, proofreading skills, and attention to detail

• Strong organizational and time-management skills

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a
team
