Job Description:

Our Orlando law firm client seeks an experienced Personal Injury
Litigation Defense Paralegal for its downtown Orlando office.
This paralegal will work directly with multiple attorneys on
high-exposure personal injury and civil defense matters,
independently managing significant aspects of a high-volume
caseload from discovery through trial. The firm offers

Recent defense-side litigation experience is required.

Responsibilities:

* Manage a high-volume caseload and support three or more
attorneys across matters with competing deadlines.
* Anticipate discovery and evidentiary issues and bring them to
the supervising attorneys’ attention.
* Draft proposed discovery responses and non-party subpoenas;
procure non-party records and identify documents for production.
* Gather client documents and interrogatory verification pages.
* Coordinate expert and attorney conferences, expert retention,
and expert preparation; assemble expert packages.
* Prepare proposed witness and exhibit lists, exhibits, and
objections.
* Develop medical chronologies and timelines; coordinate with
outside vendors.
* Calendar deadlines and manage Microsoft Outlook calendars.

Qualifications/Requirements:

* At least seven years of substantive civil litigation paralegal
experience, including significant recent insurance/personal
injury defense experience; 10 or more years strongly preferred.
* Recent defense-side litigation experience is required.
Plaintiff-side work is complementary but does not replace defense
experience.
* Knowledge of the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure, medical
terminology and billing, and the elements of personal injury
claims, including liability and damages.
* Ability to identify facts that strengthen or weaken the
client’s liability position and the plaintiff’s damages claim.
* Experience with non-party production, medical chronologies,
discovery, expert coordination, calendaring, and trial
preparation.
* Current knowledge of applicable personal injury defense laws
and procedures; proficiency with Outlook, LexisNexis, and Sunbiz.
Familiarity with ATO (Client Profiles) and Juris is a plus.
* Ability to prioritize under pressure, meet deadlines,
communicate proactively, and collaborate with multiple attorneys.
* High school diploma or equivalent required; paralegal
certificate preferred.
