Job Description:

Our client, an AmLaw 100 firm, is looking for a Paralegal –
Patent Litigation to join their team at their offices in New York
City. This is a full time, direct hire role paying an annual base
salary of $120K to $147K, and our client allows for a hybrid work
week with two days of remote work, and three days in-office.

This role supports attorneys in patent litigation and complex
litigation matters. The role requires a strong understanding of
document management, factual research, coordination of case
materials, and support of matter workflows. Responsibilities
encompass all phases of litigation, including managing discovery,
maintaining litigation databases, preparing materials for
hearings and trials, and coordinating trial logistics. This role
requires a comprehensive understanding of the litigation process,
strong organizational and analytical abilities, and proficiency
in litigation support technology. The ideal candidate is a
proactive problem-solver with excellent interpersonal
communication skills and a commitment to providing exceptional
client service in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

* Provide comprehensive paralegal support in patent litigation
matters, including patent application preparation, portfolio
maintenance, and USPTO/court filings
* Support attorneys through all phases of litigation (motions,
discovery, depositions, trial, arbitration)
* Manage case files, e-discovery systems, and document databases,
ensuring organization and accessibility
* Coordinate and execute court filings (federal, state, local,
and administrative agencies)
* Serve as a central liaison between attorneys, clients, opposing
counsel, and vendors
* Maintain and track case calendars, deadlines, and docketing
systems to ensure compliance
* Assist with legal document drafting, proofreading, and Bluebook
citation verification
* Conduct legal and factual research, prepare memoranda, and
analyze case materials
* Support discovery processes, including document collection,
review, privilege logs, and vendor coordination
* Prepare deposition and trial materials (exhibits, witness prep,
transcripts, summaries)
* Coordinate trial logistics and courtroom technology, providing
on-site trial support as needed
* Oversee complex case management and workflow coordination
across litigation teams

Qualifications:

* 5+ years of paralegal experience, depending upon practice area
and position available
* Bachelor’s Degree and completion of paralegal program of study,
or clear demonstration of equivalent knowledge and skill
* Knowledge of court and agency procedures and rules
* Highly developed skills in time and task management
* Highly developed attention to detail in striving for perfection
in the firm’s work product and client service
* Advanced proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office
computerized business applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook) for
the creation and editing of complex documents, spreadsheets, and
e-mail
* Proficiency in the use of computerized legal research and
document review/hosting databases; like LexisNexis, Westlaw,
PACER, Relativity, IPRO for performance of legal and fact
research and effective management of complex eDiscovery, evidence
and case files
* Proficiency in the use of trial support software, like Trial
Director and OnCue, very desirable
* Experience in supporting complex commercial litigation matters
across multiple offices in multiple jurisdictions preferred
* Post-college level writing and oral communication skills
* Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with
lawyers, clients and staff
* High degree of attention to detail
* Flexibility to work overtime and/or travel on occasion
