Job Description

Our client is seeking an associate with a minimum of three to
five years of real estate lending transactions representing
banks. Experience in one or more of the following areas is
required:

* Senior role in the representation of commercial banks making
complex commercial loans secured by real property, with a focus
on construction loans and term debt.
* Knowledge of affordable housing transaction experience is a
plus. (i.e., transactions financed directly with a bank
construction loan or a bank letter of credit securing bonds
issued by New York City HDC or New York State HFA bonds in
combination with IRC Section 42 tax credit equity).

Requirements:

* Minimum of three to five years of real estate lending
experience.
* Licensed to practice in New York (New Jersey bar admission a
plus).
* A member in good standing of the New York/New Jersey State Bar.
* J.D. from an accredited law school with a strong academic
record.
* Strong drafting skills. Able to work in a lead role in the
preparation of loan documentation. · Highly motivated with
substantial growth potential.
* Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
* Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work well under
pressure.
* Have a professional demeanor with excellent judgment and
willingness to take initiative.
* Ability to work both independently and collaborate as part of a
larger team.
