Work Environment: Remote within commute of court (billable hours
1950 per year)

License: Yes, must have NY Bar license active and in good
standing

JOB DESCRIPTION

Out client, a respected national litigation firm, is seeking a
Senior General Liability Associate Attorney to join our New York
office. This role focuses on New York Labor Law (Sections
240/241) and General Liability litigation. This is a unique
opportunity to gain meaningful litigation experience on
high-stakes cases while working alongside nationally recognized
trial attorneys.

Responsibilities

As a key member of our team, you’ll work on a wide variety of
complex civil defense matters, including:

* Handling all phases of litigation from intake through
resolution or trial
* Drafting pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other
legal documents
* Conducting legal research and analysis
* Taking and defending depositions
* Attending court conferences, hearings, mediations, and
arbitrations
* Communicating with clients, insurance carriers, and opposing
counsel
* Collaborating with partners on litigation strategy

This is a hybrid position with a flexible mix of remote and
in-office work.

What We’re Looking For

* Active license to practice law in New York (required)
* Minimum of 4 years’ experience handling NYS Labor Law Sections
240/241 and general liability matters
* Strong background in civil defense litigation, including
pleadings, motions, depositions, and discovery
* Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
* Ability to independently manage deadlines and case strategy
* Strong organizational and communication skills
* Experience in mediation, arbitration, or trial is a plus
* Dual licensure in CT, PA, NJ, or another jurisdiction is a plus
