Work Environment: Onsite (5 days/week for first 90 days;
eligible for 1 remote day per week thereafter)

Overview
A highly regarded law firm is seeking an experienced Estates &
Trusts Paralegal to join its Philadelphia office. This position
offers the opportunity to support a sophisticated trusts and
estates practice handling estate administration, trust
administration, probate proceedings, and fiduciary matters for
high-net-worth individuals and families.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing
estate and trust administration matters from inception through
closing while working closely with attorneys, fiduciaries,
financial institutions, and court personnel. This role is ideal
for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a
collaborative, client-focused environment.
Responsibilities
* Assist attorneys with all phases of estate and trust
administration.
* Prepare and file Pennsylvania probate and Orphan’s Court
documents.
* Coordinate estate openings, asset collection, distributions,
and estate closings.
* Prepare fiduciary accountings and supporting documentation.
* Assist with the preparation of federal and Pennsylvania
fiduciary income tax returns and estate tax returns.
* Communicate with executors, trustees, beneficiaries, financial
institutions, and government agencies.
* Organize and maintain estate administration files and
supporting documentation.
* Monitor critical deadlines and ensure timely completion of all
probate and trust administration tasks.
* Assist with deed preparation and transfer documents as needed.
* Record billable time in accordance with firm requirements.
Qualifications
* 6+ years of estate and trust administration experience,
preferably in a law firm.
* Strong working knowledge of Pennsylvania probate procedures and
Orphan’s Court Rules.
* Experience administering estates and trusts from opening
through final distribution.
* Familiarity with fiduciary income tax and estate tax
preparation processes.
* Experience preparing probate filings, inventories, accountings,
and related court documents.
* Exceptional organizational, communication, and client service
skills.
* Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines
simultaneously.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal document management
systems.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with high-net-worth estate administration.
* Familiarity with estate accounting software and tax preparation
software.
* Experience preparing deeds and transfer documents.
* Knowledge of Pennsylvania inheritance tax procedures.
