JOB TITLE: Human Resources Manager

SALARY: $120K (some flex)

JOB DESCRIPTION

Our client (law firm) an HR Generalist to assist CHRO in the
handling of many human resources functions for the firm, for both
attorneys and staff. Responsible for day-to-day HR activities for
the Milwaukee and WI satellite office.

* Assists with new-hire orientation in Milwaukee and WI satellite
office and works with the HR Coordinator to ensure that all
paperwork is received and processed accordingly.
* Responsible for maintaining staff levels in the Milwaukee and
WI satellite office, always ensuring a smooth and efficient
workflow process.
* Responds to questions from employees on behalf of the HR
department, requiring thorough understanding of all benefit
programs and the firm’s policies and procedures.
* Routinely works one day per week from the WI satellite office.
* Responsible for all staff recruiting. Serves as Account
Administrator for the firm’s LinkedIn account, requiring a
thorough understanding of LI and how it works. Responsible for
all staff recruiting in all offices, including places ads,
screening candidates, coordinating interviews with supervisors
and attorneys, etc.
* Develops standard job descriptions and position specifications
for firm employees; ensures periodic review of job descriptions
and position specifications.
* Organizes various wellness events for the firm, such as the
annual flu clinic.
* Helps plan employee engagement events in the Milwaukee and WI
satellite office.
* Completes annual salary survey for the firm.
* Prepares checks as needed for Milwaukee office, reconciles AmEx
card for office purchases.
* Generates quarterly bonus memos for attorneys, working closely
with the Managing Partner to capture all changes and updates,
etc.
* Runs various reports in support of the Finance and Marketing
departments.
* Assists Marketing with completing Requests for Proposals.
* Completes various employment and salary surveys throughout the
year.
* Prepares monthly ‘Employee Newsletter.’

REQUIRED SKILLS

* Knowledge of human resource administration at a level normally
acquired through
* completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management,
Business or equivalent.
* Approximately 5-8 years progressively more responsible work
experience in order to gain the expertise needed to administer a
complex human resource system.
* Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete
them under time constraints.
* Interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate with a
diverse group of attorneys, staff and clients, building trust and
rapport, and provide information with ordinary courtesy and tact
while safeguarding confidentiality.
* Interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate by
telephone and e-mail to provide information with ordinary
courtesy and tact.
* Interpersonal skills necessary to assist in conflict resolution
in the workplace.
* Work occasionally requires more than 40 hours per week to
perform the essential duties of the position.
* Experience working with LinkedIn. Experience as Account
Administrator would be preferred.
* Experience recruiting for legal support staff roles.
* Able to use data base software, spreadsheet, and word
processing software and equipment to complete analysis and
reports. Proficiency in Excel and Word.
* Able to lift and move boxes weighing up to 20 lbs.
* Regular and predictable attendance. This office is entirely
in-office.
