Job Description:

Boutique litigation firm is seeking a Legal Secretary for their
Orange County office. The candidate will be an integral part of
the team effort as they work cases from inception through trial.
From proofreading documents, court filings, assisting paralegals,
researching procedural rules, calendaring deadlines and
communicating with courts and agencies, you will use critical
thinking and problem solving to make an impact in our cases and
our law practice as a whole. This opportunity offers working in a

Essential Responsibilities include:

* Assist paralegals with tasks including court filings, preparing
litigation binders and discovery forms.
* Maintaining the firm calendar and calendar email box to
identify, summarize and calendar meetings and deadlines.
* Conducting research on case-related procedures and rules.
* Assist attorneys and paralegals with proofreading documents.
* Communicating with courts and agencies as needed.
* Maintain client files and coordinate with attorneys and
paralegals to archive closed cases.
* Assist with entering expenses into billing system.
* Provide back-up for reception/front desk duties.

Essential Skills and Abilities include:

* A minimum of 3 years of law firm legal assistant experience in
complex civil cases.
* Exceptional proofreading skills.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook,
PowerPoint, Word).
* The ability to multitask and manage workflows to meet
deadlines, and to carry out your duties independently and as part
of a team.
* The ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, clients
and courts while safeguarding confidential subject matter.
* Strong organizational skills.
