Job Description
* Minimum of 4 years litigation support
* Litigation support can be in any of the following practice
areas: Business & Commercial Litigation, Real Estate, General
Litigation, Foreclosure and Bankruptcy (does not have to be
specific to bankruptcy)
* Clients must be on the corporate side vs personal
Essential responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Perform general administrative support functions as needed to
meet deadlines and further the objectives of the bankruptcy
practice group
• Update and manage attorney calendars with particular attention
to court dates and other relevant case-related deadlines
• Draft routine court documents for attorney review and approval,
including but not limited to pleadings and engagement letters
• Open new matters and close files as requested by attorneys
• Interact and communicate with courtroom deputies, judicial
assistants, law clerks, and other courtroom staff in bankruptcy,
state, and federal district courts
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• A minimum of four years of litigation support (Business &
Commercial Litigation, Real Estate, General Litigation,
Foreclosure and Bankruptcy (does not have to be specific to
bankruptcy))
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 suite of business software
products, including Outlook, Word, Excel
• Working knowledge of Best Case bankruptcy software and document
management software.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Strong time-management skills and ability to multi-task
• Self-motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with
appropriate discretion.
